The Colón 2000 Duty-Free Plaza project consists of the development of a shopping center with 7 two-story buildings, including anchor stores, commercial spaces, a food court area, public restrooms, panoramic elevators, and a parking building.
"The shopping center culminates with the creation of a series of roof structures that house gathering spaces, using spatial structures with a membrane-like skin."
The buildings are located on a plot situated between the Colón Cruise Terminal, the Gorgas Urban Promenade, and the Colón 2000 Shopping Center. The rectangular lot, with an area of 30,000 m2, defines the volume of the project, with a discontinuous two-story base that occupies almost the entire perimeter.
